What are Dermal Fillers?

Dermal Fillers used at HQ clinic are based on hyaluronic acid.

Actual HA is a natural substance produced in your body that hydrates and plumps the skin by improving it’s ability to retain water.
Fillers appear as a gel substance. It’s small enough that it can be inserted into a needle and delivered to spots to restore volume.

Dermal Fillers are used mainly to restore facial shape and loss of volume.

Fillers lift and tighten the skin and can also be used to soften lines, wrinkles and folds.

An instant lift with a younger, fresher appearance. The results can last 9-12 months.

How does it work?

Over time with age, the body loses it’s own hyaluronic acid and the skin starts to sag and forms wrinkles and folds.

Fillers replace the lost hyaluronic acid to restore volume and shape.

Level of discomfort: Treatment is almost painless

Are there side effects?

Hyaluronic acid fillers are safe and fully reversible.

There may be some localised redness, tenderness, swelling and bruising but these tend to be very mild and temporary.

As with all injections, there is a risk of infection, but this is very rare.

More serious side effects and allergic-type reactions are extremely rare.

What to expect at your appointment? 

On your arrival, you will be asked to complete the consultation and consent form.  Then, one of our experienced team member with carry out a thorough consultation with you to establish your expectations and best treatment options available.

Topical anaesthetic cream is applied for around 30 minutes on treatment areas prior to injections.
