Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening has become one of the most popular ways to enhance a smile by lightening the existing shade of the natural teeth. It is a simple and effective treatment that can be done in one hour at our clinic.
There are many reasons why teeth can become discoloured. The main of them are:
- Tea, coffee and red wine
- Tobacco
- Food with strong colourings
- Medications
- Ageing
Some teeth do not respond well to bleaching and this can often be difficult to determine.
There are some minor side effects of teeth whitening. The most common are tooth sensitivity and gum irritation. These side effects are very short-term temporary and in consultation with us, we are able to manage and minimise them.
What to expect at your appointment?
- On your arrival you will be asked to fill out the
consultation and consent form. - Your gums are protected by a rubber gel coating.
- All soft tissues are protected with retractor.
- A carbonated gel is then applied to your teeth.
- The UV light placed over your mouth for 20 to 30 minutes.
- After that the gel is re-applied and you start the second round of the same.
How long does it take?
The procedure and whitening is achieved in the clinic in just over an hour.
Initially, we make a 75 minute appointment.
How many sessions will I need?
